I started writing Namaste the Ninja in 2018. Since then, it has been a passion project of mine. I truly feel this book is so needed today. Why? Because, this is the tool I wished I had as a child.
I think in some ways we all end up trying to create the thing that we wanted as kids. This tool came into my life at age 28. What’s the tool you ask? In common terms today it’s called mindfulness. This is a tool that allows you to connect and see the side of you that is your true authentic self.
I think we all can relate to medicating emotions in one way or another. Whether it’s through Pharma, alcohol, religion, rituals, or let’s face it just feeling helpless we all have been there. It’s not that something is wrong with you, it’s that there is something deeper in you that is longing to wake up.
I know this firsthand, and it wasn’t until I started clearing out the trauma and junk in my life that I truly discovered what this mindfulness business was all about. It’s about clearing a space and getting rid of the things that no longer serve you, the baggage. What if you had a tool to help you along the way instead of suppressing things to deal with later? A tool to regulate your inner space, to keep the things you want and let go of those you don’t. What if you had this ability from childhood?
This book is that tool. This is the foundation to you beginning to wake up a bit and start to be the observer and regulator of your emotional warehouse.
